ERMELO – In a thrilling display of skill and determination, NatuurTalent Hoveniers has dethroned the reigning champions at the 21st annual Buisness Badminton tournament. The event, held on Thursday evening, October 23rd, saw approximately ten companies field 22 teams, all vying for the coveted challenge cup and bragging rights. Organized by BC Shuttle Pauwer, the tournament culminated in a surprising victory for NatuurTalent, a team that took home the “Poodle Prize” last year.

The Triade Sports Center buzzed with energy as the competition kicked off around 8:30 PM. Among the contenders was last year’s champion, Fire Prevent, eager to defend their title and keep the challenge cup in their possession. The tournament featured five intense rounds, leading to a nail-biting semi-final stage.

The semi-finals proved to be a dramatic prelude to the main event. In one bracket,Modesta 1 and BouwPartner Pieper 4 battled it out, with the match even going into an extension,a two-point difference ultimately deciding the victor in favor of Pieper. The other semi-final pitted NatuurTalent 3 against the formidable defending champions, Fire Prevent. After a closely contested 10 minutes, the score remained neck-and-neck. In a stunning upset, NatuurTalent managed to overcome Fire Prevent, securing their well-deserved spot in the final.

The championship match was a decisive victory for NatuurTalent, who proved to be the dominant force on the court. They not only clinched the title but also earned the right to take the challenge cup back to their office. The atmosphere remained festive long after the final point was scored, with attendees already looking forward to the 22nd edition of the tournament. The question on everyone’s mind: can NatuurTalent Hoveniers successfully defend their title next year? only time will tell.
