Plaza Vélez Sarsfield: New Tennis & Soccer Fields Open

This Friday, the municipal mayor Damián Bernarte, together with the sports director Juan Iturburu, visited the recently refunctionalized Tennis Football fields located in Plaza Vélez Sarsfield.

The intervention consisted of the total renewal of the two courts, now equipped with synthetic grass and new elements, as part of a policy that seeks to value public spaces and foster sport as a tool for integration, health and recreation.

During the visit, the sports director expressed his enthusiasm for the commissioning of these renewed spaces:

“Today a different Friday, testing the new Tennis Soccer

For his part, Mayor Bernarte highlighted the municipality’s commitment to the development of recreational proposals accessible to the entire community:

“We are very happy. They are the first two renewed tennis soccer fields, now with synthetic grass, new network … an immense joy. We invite everyone to come to play, not only the boys but also the big ones. The truth that makes you want to come and not leave more,” he said.

Bernarte also announced that these types of interventions will continue to be replicated in other parts of the city:

“Next station, next court in Plaza 1º de Mayo,” he said.
