China-ASEAN City Tennis Tournament Opens Registration for 2026 Competition in Nanning

Registration is officially open for 16 teams across the country to compete in the 2026 China-ASEAN City Tennis Tournament, scheduled to run from November 27 to November 30, 2026, at the Guangxi Sports Center Tennis Center, gx.people.com.cn reported.

National and Regional Sports Bodies Organize Tournament

The tournament is organized by a coalition of national and regional sports and foreign affairs bodies, including the Tennis Administrative Center of the General Administration of Sport of China, the Chinese Tennis Association, the Sports Bureau of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and the Foreign Affairs Office of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Guangxi People.com.cn reported that the event is hosted by multiple entities, with Nanning Weiheng Culture Sports Development Co., Ltd. operating the tournament to ensure high standards of play.

Teams Compete for Cash Prizes Across Five Events

Competition will feature five mixed team events: men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles. Teams are permitted to hire up to two external athletes to strengthen their rosters. The top eight finishing teams will receive pre-tax cash prizes in RMB, with 50,000 yuan awarded to the first-place team, 30,000 yuan for second, 20,000 yuan for third, 10,000 yuan for fourth, and 6,000 yuan each for teams placing fifth through eighth.

Organizers Combine Athletic Competition with Music Festival

Organizers have structured the 2026 tournament to combine athletic competition with a music carnival and urban economic initiatives, aiming to boost local consumption in accommodation, dining, and transport. The accompanying music festival and markets are designed to connect the tennis events with broader public entertainment, reinforcing Nanning’s position as a regional sports and cultural exchange hub for ASEAN nations.
