TSV Eschach & St. Lukas Clinic: Local Champions

From July 14th to 18th, the Special Olympics State Games Bavaria took place in Erlangen in Erlangen and offered athletes with and without impairing athletes the opportunity to play together in the team.

In cooperation with the St. Lukas Clinic (Liebenau Foundation), TSV Eschach took part in the inclusive discipline badminton Unified double and secured the first, second and fourth place

TSV Eschach and the social therapy dormitory of the St. Lukas Clinic in Hegeberg have been working successfully together for almost three years to enable young adults to participate in the regular game operations of the badminton team.

This was the second participation in a special Olympics competition. The three teams were financially supported by Volksbank Allgäu Oberschwaben and BWBV Baden-Württemberg Badminton.

“It was a great, fair competition for all teams. We had a lot of fun together and my players cut off sensationally. I am very proud of everyone and look forward to the national games in Saarbrücken next year,” said Anja Wiggermann, head of the Badminton department.
