Renowned figures in the judo world will lead insightful discussions and workshops, including Lilliam Estrada Bautista, President of the Mexican Judo Federation, and José Luis Atención Ramírez, awitis esteemed coach.

It’s a pleasure to be here. I’m excited about the National Technical Congress of Coaches and the opportunity to contribute to the advancement of judo in mexico.
You’ll be sharing your story during the congress, “behind an Olympic Medal: The Prisca Awiti Story.” What key takeaways do you hope coaches and athletes will gain from your experience?
My journey hasn’t been without its challenges. I want to emphasize the importance of perseverance, dedication, and believing in yourself, even when faced with obstacles. I hope to inspire young athletes to dream big and demonstrate that with hard work and the right guidance, anything is possible.
The congress theme,”Extensive Strengthening of the Coach in Sports Development,” highlights the vital role coaches play. How crucial was your coach, José Luis Atención ramírez, in your journey?
José Luis was instrumental in my success.He was not just my coach; he was a mentor, a motivator, and a true believer in my abilities. He pushed me to exceed my limits and instilled in me the values of discipline and hard work. His guidance was invaluable.
The congress will feature a diverse range of experts leading discussions and workshops on topics like gender equality in judo, emphasizing inclusivity and equal opportunities. What are your thoughts on this vital issue in the sport?
Judo, like any sport, should be accessible to everyone regardless of gender. I’m thrilled to see the congress addressing this issue and promoting inclusivity. We need more female role models in judo to inspire the next generation of athletes.
With such a strong emphasis on coaching development,how much do you think thiscongress will impact the future of judo in Mexico?
I believe it will be transformative. Having access to world-class experts, learning new techniques, and sharing best practices will undoubtedly elevate the standards of coaching in Mexico. this will directly benefit athletes, ultimately strengthening the sport as a whole.
what message would you like to share with the aspiring judo athletes reading this?
Never give up on your dreams. Let passion be your fuel and hard work your compass. Surround yourself with supportive people who believe in you.And most importantly, enjoy the journey. Judo is more than just a sport; it teaches valuable life lessons like discipline,respect,and resilience.
