Saturday Showdown: Italposa Forlì vs MKF Bollate – A Key Test for Both Teams

A great classic of blue softball, such as the duel between Italposa Forlì (12-6) e MKF Bollate (17-1), lights up Saturday on diamonds. The two teams arrive at this match in different ranking conditions, but the Buscherini match will certainly be a key test for both. In the first leg, home runs weren’t enough for Forlì Gasparotto e Giacomettiwith Bollate imposing himself on his field thanks to some excellent ones Bigatton e Nicolini on the launch pad. The left-handed former Saronno managed to win the pitching duel against Kelly Barnhillwhose current form, however, appears decidedly different: the American from Forlì has gone through 34 consecutive innings without points conceded, with the highlight of last week in which she launched a perfect game.

Simultaneously on the diamond of Macerata (7-11) the hosts face the Pubbliservice Old Parma (1-17), desperately looking for successes to try to shorten the gap with the penultimate place. The Marche team comes from four consecutive drawn series, including the last one against Saronno from which they managed to snatch game 1, while the sweep – the only one achieved this season – has been missing since the first leg against Old Parma.

For the first time this year two series will be played on Sunday, opened with the duel between Mia Office Blue Girls Pianoro (10-6) e Inox Team Saronno (14-4). The first round was dominated by the two launch pads who competed in two great point-to-point challenges and the impression is that this balance could be repeated. Pianoro, rested last week, is looking for successes to get back into the playoff position (taking advantage of the rest period of the Rheavendors Caronno), while Saronno comes from the recovery played on Thursday against Collecchio, a brace that gave the Nerazzurre some breathing room, firmly in second place in the standings.

To conclude the Sunday program the Thunders (4-14) host the Bertazzoni Collecchio (4-14) for what could already be an important crossroads for salvation. Both teams are tied in the standings with a three-game lead over bottom-placed Old Parma and a possible double could change the outlook for the season. In the first leg Collecchio won game 1 with a walk-off double Alessia Colonnawhile in game 2 a comeback in the sixth attack gave the victory to the Venetians.
