The BetPlay Professional Basketball League has already started. After several months of absence, after Titanes de Barranquilla’s last title at the end of 2023, the emotions of the orange ball once again took over the country.

So far, Caribbean Storm Llaneros, a San Andres team that plays in Villavicencio, is the best team in the first round, with two wins against Cimarrones del Chocó.

The two great figures of the islanders, who this year chose to play in the renovated Álvaro Mesa Amaya Coliseum, have been the Panamanian Alejandro Grant and the Colombian Romario Roque.

Pirates, the disappointment so far

The llaneros are not the only ones with a good present, since, after their first outings, Motilones del Norte has also shown good manners, with two wins against Corsarios de Cartagena.

Piratas de Bogotá, at the moment, is being the great disappointment of the tournament, since it lost in its first two outings facing Toros del Valle in Cali.

Finally, Búcaros de Bucaramanga settled the visit of Titanes de Barranquilla with a victory and a defeat. It was an unexpected fall for those from Atlántico that showed that this season their favoritism, as happened in the first half of 2023, is in doubt.

This Friday, with the duel of Motilones vs. Titanes begins the new date, which will be a new round-trip series between the eight teams in the tournament.
