Roger Federer Reflects on Life After Retirement in Interview with Le Parisien

Roger Federer has given an interview to the French newspaper Le Parisien in which he reviewed what his life is like after a year and a half away from the tennis courts following his retirement as a professional.

A Federer who, however, does not consider himself retired, since despite hanging up his racket he is still working on his projects with brands such as On and also with Uniqlo. “Retired is not the right word for me. When I was a player I didn’t like that word either. I have never gotten up as early as now that I am retired and I already have an agenda planned six or nine months in advance.”

The Swiss tennis player also confessed in this interview that he still continues to play tennis with his children and his wife, also former tennis player Mirka Vavrinec, and that he misses the friends he had on the circuit during his time as a professional. “Sometimes I play tennis with my children and my wife. I still like to play and I miss tennis a little, especially the people I met on the circuit, not tennis as such. But I’m relieved not to have to train like a crazy person and have to explain myself when I play badly.”
