Odell Beckham Jr. Signs One-Year Contract with Miami Dolphins Worth up to $8.25 Million

Free receiver Odell Beckham Jr. and the Miami Dolphins have agreed to a one-year contract worth up to $8.25 million, the NFL Network reported Friday.

Beckham, 31, appeared in 14 games (six starts) last season with the Baltimore Ravens, making 35 receptions for 565 yards and three touchdowns. He added four receptions for 34 yards in the playoffs.

At the league meetings in Orlando, Florida, in March, Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel confirmed that the team had made an offer to Beckham, but did not expect an imminent signing.

“Things went very well with him,” McDaniel told the Miami Herald at the time. “We made him an offer and business takes time, especially with players like Odell, who has had a phenomenal career, still has very good football in front of him and has options. So I think those conversations will continue. We will see where they go.”

Beckham, a three-time Pro Bowl selection, will represent another option for quarterback Tua Tagovailoa behind stars Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle.

Miami will be the fifth stop for Beckham. The New York Giants selected him 12th overall in the 2014 NFL Draft, and he also played for the Cleveland Browns (2019-21), Los Angeles Rams (2021) and the Ravens.

Beckham missed the 2022 season while recovering from a torn ACL suffered in the Rams’ victory in Super Bowl LVI. He has 566 career receptions for 7,932 receiving yards and 59 touchdowns in 110 games (97 starts).
