With a record of seven wins and five losses, the Ravens narrowly missed the playoffs last season. This year, the young franchise (founded in 2022) wants to develop further. Coach Kendral Ellison (36) says: “We want to get better every day and develop as a team. We have a new coaching staff, many new players and new systems. This year we have a clear vision and idea of how we want to get there.”

What has changed with the Ravens?

With Kendral Ellison, the Munich football team has a new head coach. Ellison previously coached the Hamburg Sea Devils as defensive coordinator and was voted assistant coach of the year there in 2021. Many new faces have also joined the Ravens.

Ellison: “We did a great job and hired the right players and coaches. It’s easy to say that we’ve gotten a lot better. But we hired the right people and let go of the wrong people.”

In addition, Joe Thomas is an NFL icon as offensive line coach. Such a caliber on the sidelines motivates the players. Defensive end Johannes Zirngibl: “At first it was surreal that a Hall of Famer was standing next to you on the field and training the offensive line. Even as a defensive lineman, you always want to show what you can do. That makes your fingers tickle even more, so that you can get even more potential out of yourself.”
