Minnesota Timberwolves Coach Chris Finch Expected to Return to Bench for Series Against Denver Nuggets

In one of the most unusual situations on an NBA court, a few days ago we saw how the Minnesota Timberwolves coach, Chris Finch, suffered a serious knee injury during the fourth game against the Phoenix Suns due to a chance hit with his player Mike Conley. The injury, a rupture of the patellar tendon, made him undergo surgery and raised doubts about whether he could be on the bench at the start of the series against the Denver Nuggets. Well, everything indicates that he will be with his players.

As reported by Shams Charania of The Athletic, optimism has grown about the possibility of seeing the head coach on the sideline for the first match against the current champions. Although his limited mobility will mean that assistant Micah Nori will have a more active role, Finch will be nearby to be able to give instructions from the bench.

This is undoubtedly fantastic news for those in Minneapolis. After an excellent regular season, they have taken another step forward in the postseason to sweep the Phoenix Suns. Now, with the greatest challenge ahead of them having to face the current champions with Nikola Jokic at the helm, they need all their pieces involved in the film, and of course one of the most important, their coach.
