Miami Dolphins Show Support for Florida Panthers with Hockey Skills Video Using Plastic Balls

Luckily for the windows of the Miami Dolphins headquarters, the team’s players used plastic balls rather than pucks in their support video for the Florida Panthers.

Football players from the NFL team wished their hockey counterparts good luck ahead of the Eastern Conference finals which began Wednesday evening at Madison Square Garden with a 3-0 victory for the Panthers over Rangers.

Upon arrival at the team’s practice facility, players shouted words of encouragement to the camera before shooting a plastic ball into a small net using a hockey stick. While some did well, let’s say that the majority of participants proved that they had chosen the right sport.

Safety guard Jevon Holland got a little creative by bouncing the ball on his stick a few times before sending it into the back of the net. His next attempt, however, missed the net and hit a window of the building.

Ball carrier Raheem Mostert ignored instructions and improvised as goalkeeper. He ended his performance with a save percentage of 1,000… not so bad!

If the Panthers were surely affected by the gesture, they also had confirmation that it is not towards the Dolphins that they will turn if injuries were to accumulate in their ranks by the end of the playoffs.
