Kozakiewicz saw what Maciej Rybus did. He couldn’t stand it. “Betrayal”

Maciej Rybus has been living in Russia since 2017. During this time, he represented Lokomotiv, Spartak Moscow and Rubin Kazan, with whom he has a valid contract until the end of the season. The 66-time representative of Poland did not want to leave the country that started the war over two years ago. – I have a wife there, who is Russian, two sons, real estate, a life that has developed for over ten years. In fact, it was in Russia that I became a real man, started a family, earned money and secured our future. It was there that I achieved my greatest football successes. Leaving it all overnight was not that easy – he explained in a famous interview for TVP Sport.

Watch the video Michał Probierz responds to the famous Sport.pl text. Strong polemic. “Good thing we slipped through.”

Kozakiewicz summed up Rybus’s gesture. It couldn’t be clearer

Is Rybus ashamed of staying in Russia? On the contrary. On Thursday, May 9, Rubin Kazan’s players celebrated an important date for Russians. Then Victory Day is celebrated, commemorating the end of World War II and the capitulation of the Third Reich. The team laid flowers at the monument in Victory Park in Kazan. Moreover, the players wore black and yellow ribbons, which are a symbol of Russian nationalism and separatist movements supported by the local authorities. Vladimir Putin recently paraded in the same colors.

Videos from Thursday’s celebrations appeared on the club’s social media. In the foreground we see Maciej Rybus, who celebrated the Russian holiday with his bandmates. The 34-year-old’s behavior and gesture caused a huge media storm. Polish Olympic champion Władysław Kozakiewicz also commented on the whole matter and did not mince his words.

– Let’s be honest, if he is Polish by birth and now he does such things, he is an unscrupulous person. This is one piece of idiot. So what if he has a Russian wife, it doesn’t matter. He should have his own mind. For me it is very indecent, said the 70-year-old in an interview with “Fakt”. – This is similar to the behavior of the judge (Tomasz Szmydt – editor’s note) who fled to Belarus. For me it’s the same. Simply a complete betrayal – he added after a moment.

Kozakiewicz is the winner of the gold medal in pole vaulting in 1980. It was then that he showed an offensive gesture towards the Moscow audience, which years later was named after him.
