Juventus Officially Fires Massimiliano Allegri!

Massimiliano Allegri no longer a coach Juventus. Allegri was officially fired only after leading Juve to win the 2023/2024 Coppa Italia in the middle of this week.

With his new contract expiring next year, Allegri’s future has actually been widely speculated about since the middle of this season. The reason is, Juve has never been competitive.

However, a number of dramas in the Coppa Italia final made Allegri’s relationship with Juventus crumble. As is known, the 56 year old Allenatore was given a red card because he protested too loudly to the match officials, then took off his jacket and tie while shouting for the referee in charge Gianluca Rocci as he left the field of play.

Next, Massimiliano Allegri returned to the spotlight before presenting the Coppa Italia championship trophy. The former AC Milan coach made a “go away” gesture with his hand to Juve Director Cristiano Giuntoli not to join the squad. Allegri even had a falling out with a journalist from Turin’s top media, Tuttosport, although he eventually made peace.

After the series of events above Bianconeri summoned Allegri to Continassa, the club’s training center, on Friday (17/5/2024) morning local time. At the meeting, Giuntoli was also present and Juventus announced Allegri’s dismissal.

“Juventus officially announces the removal of Massimiliano Allegri as coach of the men’s first team,” read a statement on the club’s official website.

“This dismissal follows certain behavior during and after the Coppa Italia final that the club considers to be inconsistent with Juventus’ values, and with behavior that should be adopted by those representing the club.”

“A period of cooperation has come to an end, which began in 2014, restarted in 2021, and ended after three seasons together with the Coppa Italia final. The club wishes Massimiliano Allegri good luck for his future plans.”

After Allegri’s dismissal, Juventus They will still play their last two matches in Serie A. La Vecchia Signora will visit Bologna on Tuesday (21/5) WIB, before closing the season with a home match against Monza (26/5).
