The 16-0 put together by Varese in the first half creates a gap between the two teams, allowing the Lombard team to go into halftime at 51-30. In the second half Derthona tries to come back but without success despite the partial score of 12-3. For Pallacanestro Varese 20 points from Leonardo Moranzoni, 18 from Marco Bergamin and double double from Ivan Santino Prato with 17 points and 10 rebounds. With an extraordinary second half, Conforama Varese defeats Reggio Emilia and enters the quarter-final which will see them face off against Ferrara tomorrow evening. After a first half in which Reggio Emilia seemed quite in control of the score, Battelli, Ewanke and Franceschet pushed Gardini’s team to +14 (59-73) with less than 5 minutes to go: in the most complicated moment Unahotels it is compacted again and regained its lead at 76-74. In the final, the points from Bosio and Ewanke were decisive, as he finished with a double double of 18 points and 18 rebounds. Top scorer Battelli with 27 points, for Reggio Emilia the best scorer was Abreu with 16 points.
