Guanajuato Athletes Ready to Make History at CONADE 2024 Games

Yesterday, the Guanajuato athletes were flag bearers heading to the CONADE National and Paranational Games that will take place from May 6 to June 11 in the states of Jalisco, Campeche, Mexico City and Colima.

In a historic event for the state, the Guanajuato delegation will be the largest in its history with 927 athletes divided into 447 women and 480 men, surpassing the 855 who were part of the 2023 edition, this year they will be in 39 different disciplines among which The following stand out: Baseball, Basketball, Soccer, Charrería, Karate, Judo and Boxing.

There are a couple of disciplines that still need to finish their classification process, which are: Men’s and Women’s Artistic Gymnastics as well as athletics.

Regarding the Paranationals, the qualification in their disciplines continues: it is expected that more than 150 athletes can be classified in the national stage.

The general director of CODE Guanajuato Christian Enríquez spoke of his feelings as part of a flag ceremony for the first time: “I am very happy to see this large delegation going to the CONADE 2024 Games and happy to see so many athletes who are going to achieve those goals.” medals.”
