Fans Protest at TSG Hoffenheim as Power Struggle Unfolds

Intense trouble at TSG Hoffenheim!

At the home game against RB Leipzig, TSG fans showed a total of 20 (!) protest posters against parts of the club’s management and Roger Wittmann (64), close confidant of patron Dietmar Hopp (84).

Background: In the eyes of the fans, a power struggle behind the scenes is endangering the future of TSG. Manager Alexander Rosen (45) has been said to be wobbling for months. In addition, the influence of Wittmann and his consulting agency Rogon (which looks after five current TSG professionals alone) is too great.

The most striking banners: “If you throw out roses, there will be violets!”, “Rogon: in court more often than the Abou Chaker clan,” “Rogon on the board means Schalke 2.0. Do you want that?” or “Rogon fuck off!”

In addition, Wittmann, managing director Denni Strich and communications director Christian Frommert are attacked and described as “gravediggers of TSG”. And they are accused of a “grandchildren’s trick for Hopp’s million-dollar inheritance”.

In the derby victory, there was mega confusion over two HSV goals

The XXL protest in the home curve crowns a conflict that has been simmering for months, in which Rosen is repeatedly supported by the fans, while other bosses are criticized for allegedly opaque deals. During the game in Bochum (2:3) there was even a banner “Without roses, without us” hanging in the corner.

In the second half against RB the announcement followed: “TSG through the ages, we say the time has come. Out with the troublemakers and in with those who love the club.”

It is currently unclear who will ultimately prevail in “Zoffenheim”…
