Hwaseong City, Gyeonggi-do, announced on this day that the ‘Dongtan Multipurpose Gymnasium’ built in Dongtan New Town held an opening ceremony on the 9th and began official operation.

Dongtanda Multipurpose Gymnasium is a sports facility with a total floor area of 999㎡ on the first floor located at 56 Dongtannaru-ro. It is equipped with four badminton courts and four table tennis courts, as well as convenient facilities such as shower rooms and changing rooms.
Dongtan Multipurpose Gymnasium has been operating for free during the temporary operation period since its temporary opening in March, but will be converted to a paid facility with its official opening on this day. Facility operating hours are from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Hwaseong Mayor Jeong Myeong-geun said, “Dongtan Multipurpose Gymnasium was created as a facility where all citizens can conveniently enjoy sports nearby, reflecting the requests of local residents.” He added, “We will continue to expand infrastructure suitable for Hwaseong City, a city of 1.02 people, to improve the health and leisure life of citizens.” “We will work to improve it,” he said.
