Denver Nuggets Dominate Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 3 of Playoffs Series

The reigning NBA champions showed the young Minnesota Timberwolves that they were not going to be easy prey.

The Denver Nuggets served a 117-90 correction to the Minnesota team in front of their own fans. The T-Wolves now lead the series 2-1 and will try to become the first team to win a home game in this showdown on Sunday in Game 4.

The Timberwolves beat the Nuggets 106 to 99 and 106 to 80 in the first two duels, which caused a lot of frustration among the champions, including Jamal Murray who was fined because he had thrown objects to an official.

Friday night, the starters for Denver set the tone starting with the team’s two main stars. Nikola Jokic had 24 points, 14 rebounds and nine assists while Murray also finished with 24 points.

Denver led by more than 30 points with five minutes left in the fourth quarter, so both teams’ main starters were pulled at that point in the game.

Leading 56 to 41 at the mid-game break, the Nuggets put the game beyond the reach of their rivals in the third quarter with a domination of 37 points against only 25 during this period.

Michael Porter Jr. also stood out for Denver with 21 points.

For the Timberwolves, Anthony Edwards was more discreet after games of 43 and 27 points. He finished his evening with 19 points. Karl-Anthony Towns had 14 points while Rudy Gobert was held to six points in the loss.
