In compliance with what was communicated by the Italian Basketball Federation, the National Serie B championship 2024-2025 undergoes a change in formula.
GIRONI
From the three groups of the 2023-2024 year, we move on to due in which they will be there three promotions to Serie A2 e four relegations to Interregional B. In all they are 42 the category teams, divided equally into the groups.
REGULAR SEASON
The start of the championship is scheduled Sunday 29 Septemberthe final deadline Sunday 27 April: in the middle, well 12 midweek shiftsyou’re on the way there, you’re on the way back.

21st round: Sunday 5 January
42nd round: Sunday 27 April
Midweek: Wednesday 2 October, 16 October, 6 November, 13 November, 4 December, 18 December, 15 January, 29 January, 19 February, 26 February, 26 March, 9 April
PLAYOFF POST-SEASON
The top six teams in each group will enter the playoffs, while the teams ranked from 9th to 12th will play the play-ins (Sunday 4 May) with the following combination: 9th-12th and 10th-11th. The two winners will clash, in the next round, against the 7th and 8th (Wednesday 7 May): whoever emerges unscathed from the race completes the playoff scoreboard.
She who completes the journey (May 11-June 18), including the final, is promoted to Serie A2, but the two defeats in their respective final acts will still be able to hope to join the play-off on a neutral pitch (Sunday 22 June).
PLAYOUT POST-SEASON
The last-placed teams in the two groups will be relegated to the Interregional Serie B, while the teams in 17th to 20th place will play for their stay in the playouts, in crossed groups, between the first round (11-21 maggio) and second (May 25-June 4). The two losers join the 2025-2026 Interregional Serie B.
