Brittany Field Archery Championship Set for This Weekend in Quimperlé

In preparation for several months by the Quimperlé Archery Association (Ataq), the Brittany field archery championship will take place this Sunday, May 26, at the Kerbertrand woods site. This competition model differs from classic shooting since it involves shooting at 24 targets of different sizes placed at varying distances and arranged in nature. This discipline requires archers to have qualities of adaptation, it is also a very popular event since it allows archers, like “Robin Hoods, to experience an entertaining journey.

First shots at 10 a.m.

Ataq had already organized a French championship in 2004, in the Manoir de Kernault park, this time it is the Kerbertrand woods, well sheltered from the wind, which will be the setting for the competition. It will open at 9:45 a.m. with the departure of the platoons towards the targets, the first shots starting at 10 a.m. Around a hundred archers (recurve bow, compound bow, bare bow and straight bow) will compete all day to win the titles of champions of Brittany at stake.
