According to Chico, the key to victory is the ability to control the game well and play patiently.

“Tomorrow (23/5) I will meet the winner between Jullien Carraggi (Germany) or Jason Gunawan (Hong Kong). “Both of them are good players,” said Chico, quoted from PP PBSI’s short statement, Wednesday.

“They also have good sparring partners, so everything has to be anticipated from the start,” he added.

“We have anticipated the blow from the opponent who is actually a single player,” he added.

Meanwhile, 11 Indonesian representatives have started their journey in the BWF Super 500 tournament.

Some of them are Ester Nurumi Tri Wardoyo, Chico’s sister, the couple Rinov Rivaldy/Pitha Haningtyas Mentari, and Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto/Lisa Ayu Kusumawati.

The 2024 Malaysia Masters tournament will run until May 26, with a total prize pool of up to 420,000 US dollars.

Previously, Indonesian women’s singles, Putri Kusuma Wardani, showed a confident performance and managed to advance to the last 16 of the Malaysia Masters 2024.

This certainty was achieved after he defeated Taiwan’s representative, Li Hsiang Ti, with a score of 21-9, 21-19 in the round of 32 match which took place at the Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur, on Wednesday.

In the first game, Putri revealed that her opponent seemed uncomfortable when receiving blows flick. Putri utilized and implemented this well, of course with caution and confidence before attacking.

However, in the second game, his opponent was able to provide tougher resistance. According to the player who is currently ranked 35th in the world, this is due to the wind factor on the field which affects the game.
