The dreaded news has just been confirmed.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski ofESPNZion Williamson is forfeited for the match against Sacramento in two days, a match which will determine the eighth and final qualifier for the NBA Playoffs.
Zion is dealing with a hamstring injury and will be re-evaluated in the coming weeks. This means that he will not play in the Playoffs if the Pels qualify.

This is a huge blow for the Pelicans, and for Zion.
Not only is the timing disastrous, knowing Williamson won’t be able to play in the most important game of the 2023-24 season. But it’s all the more terrible since Zion remains on a regular 70 games and he was perhaps in the form of his life.
