The Englishwoman was able to touch it again when she beat Caroline Garcia and Diane Parry to take Great Britain into the second round of the old Fed Cup. Despite this success, she is not guaranteed to participate in Roland-Garros next May.
Having fallen to 303rd in the world, but taking advantage of her protected ranking at 103rd place, Emma Raducanu must hope for five withdrawals from players higher ranked than her to be assured of participating in the French Grand Slam. In this case, the Englishwoman must therefore bet on a wild card from the organizers, or go through the qualifications box.
