Lee So-hee and Baek Hana Win March MVP Award at 2024 MBN Women’s Sports Awards

Badminton women’s doubles’ Sohee Lee (Incheon International Airport) and Hana Baek (MG Saemaeul Geumgo) received the March Best Player (MVP) award at the 2024 MBN Women’s Sports Awards.

MBN announced on the 30th that Lee So-hee and Baek Hana, who reached the top of the women’s doubles at the All England Open last month, were selected as the March MVP winners of the Women’s Sports Awards.

Lee So-hee and Baek Hana won the All England Open women’s doubles final held in Birmingham, England on the 17th of last month, defeating Japan’s Nami Matsuyama and Chiharu Shida 2-1.

Thanks to their performance, which overcame the disappointment of last year’s runner-up finish, Korean badminton won a gold medal for two consecutive years at the All England Open, which is considered the oldest and most prestigious competition.

Lee So-hee and Baek Hana once again received the honor of the Women’s Sports Awards Monthly MVP following June of last year.

Sohee Lee said, “I am even more happy to receive the award this year as well as last year.

“I want to work harder and deliver good news after the Paris Olympics,” Baek Hana said, adding, “I will prepare well with my sister so that I can receive awards more often and achieve good results this year as well.”

The MBN Women’s Sports Awards was established in 2012 to revitalize women’s sports and encourage female sportspeople in Korea.

MVPs are selected and awarded every month, and a comprehensive awards ceremony is held in December.
