Kansas City tight end signs lucrative two-year contract extension.

The Chiefs win, notably thanks to Travis Kelce. And it will last.

Selon NFL Network, Kelce signed a two-year contract extension with his club, making him the highest-paid tight end in the NFL. With these two additional years, he is now signed until the end of the 2027 season. The franchise has officially confirmed the signing.

The financial terms are not yet clear.

However, he should stay quite far from his partner Taylor Swift, who has just joined the billionaires club.

Travis Kelce, a Chiefs for life?

At 34 years old, Travis Kelce is coming off a less productive year by his own standards with 93 receptions for 984 yards and 5 touchdowns in 15 games.

This is the first time since 2015 that he has not crossed the 1,000 yard mark, but his connection with Patrick Mahomes cannot be questioned. In the playoffs this year he caught 32 passes for 355 yards and 3 touchdowns, to win the Chief’s third title in five years.

“I told you I wouldn’t let him go,” Mahomes said on Twitter. “Congratulations my guy!! »

Selected in the third round of the 2013 Draft by Kansas City, the seven-time All-Pro therefore seems to be heading towards a career with one and the same team. Then it will definitely be the Hall of Fame.
