That’s why Eintracht Frankfurt has lost its way in the Bundesliga

Too few wins, too few goals, too little spectacle: Eintracht Frankfurt is approaching the end of the Bundesliga season. Will coach Dino Toppmöller still be able to turn things around?

From the club’s perspective, one thing should not happen to Eintracht Frankfurt in the final spurt of the season: that the 2022 Europa League winner misses out on taking part in the international competition in the 2024/2025 season. A new round without Eintracht games in Europe would not only be bad for the economic development of the internationally oriented club, it would also not be good for the development of the young team.

Not to mention the reputation would suffer. And 31-year-old Mario Götze, world champion in 2014, might consider ending his impressive career in the United States.
