Success and Medals Shine for Judo Kodokan Cesena Athletes at ‘Uchi Oroshi’ Trophy

Full of satisfaction – and medals – for the athletes of Judo Kodokan Cesena who participated in the 28th ‘Uchi Oroshi’ trophy in Bibbiano di Reggio Emilia. In all there were around 300 athletes present, including the five Cesena athletes Marco Brandolini (seniors), Riccardo Santoro (juniors), Samuele Romagnoli and Luca Gaetano Bonasia (cadets) and Geremia Romagnoli (rookies B). Accompanying the Cesena athletes were the tireless maestro Vladimiro Burioli, the technical-competitive manager Michael Zoffoli, the president Raffaella Molari and the regional technical manager Francesco Di Leonforte. Given the participation of numerous high-level athletes, the race immediately proved to be highly difficult, but at the same time also an opportunity for growth for the children from Cesena.

In fact, the five Kodokan judokas were not intimidated by the context, on the contrary they armed themselves with great determination which brought them all to the podium. Of note are the exhausting matches of Riccardo Santoro who, after having fought for a long time and dominated his opponents, suffered an ippon in the final which took him to second place. Bronze medal instead for the brothers Geremia and Samuele Romagnoli, for Marco Brandolini and for Luca Gaetano Bonasia. The next Kodokan appointment will concern the exams to achieve 5th dan black belt for masters Moreno Montalti and Maurizio Ferrari.
