Serie A: seven players suspended, Juric also stopped – Football

There are seven players disqualified, all for one matchday, by the Serie A sports judge, Gerardo Mastrandrea, in relation to the matches of the 32nd matchday of the championship. Napoli’s Mario Rui was stopped for being sent off for a second yellow card, while Jean Daniel Akpa Akpro (Monza), Erik Almqvist (Lecce), Lassana Coulibaly (Salernitana), Samuele Ricci (Turin), Amir Rrhamani (Napoli) and Malick Thiaw (Milan).


Torino coach Ivan Juric will not be on the bench in the next round, having been sent off for “flatly contesting an referee’s decision”. The sports judge then inflicted a one-match ban on Bologna manager Luca Befani, who was also sent off for the same reason.


As for the clubs, Lecce will have to pay a fine of five thousand euros “for having its supporters throw six firecrackers and a smoke bomb in the playing area, while Verona 1,500 euros for throwing some plastic cups onto the pitch.
