The Police found this Monday afternoon the former soccer player Ángel Hugo Bargas, who was being intensively searched after leaving his home in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of San Cristóbal on Sunday morning. The 77-year-old man is in good general condition and it was found that he was “disoriented.”
After spending more than a day without news of the former Argentine National Team player and Chacarita idol, his family had decided to turn to the Police and an intense campaign had begun through social networks to find his whereabouts.

The authorities found Bargas this Monday afternoon after a call that reported that he was on Santa Fe Avenue and Gurruchaga, in the Plaza Italia area, in Palermo. A Brigade arrived at the scene and found that the former soccer player was “disoriented” and the family was notified.
In addition, a SAME ambulance attended to the former defender and a doctor diagnosed “disorientation”, while confirming that he was in good general condition, so it was not necessary to transfer him to a hospital.
“Barguitas appeared, thank God. I thank you all for caring, thank you very much,” Héctor, the former player’s brother, wrote on his Facebook wall.

As TN learned, Bargas had left his home in San Cristóbal “disoriented” on Sunday around 8:45. Security camera images had captured him leaving the property.

Ángel Hugo Bargas was born in Buenos Aires in 1946 and took his first steps as a professional soccer player in the 60’s in Racing. He then moved to Chacarita, a club with which he won the first division tournament in 1969. In 1972 he settled in France and played for renowned teams such as Guingamp, Nates, Mets, Budeos, Racing de Strasbourg, Bastia and Stade Rennais. He wore the Argentine National Team shirt and was part of the squad at the 1974 World Cup in Germany.
