Rangers Dominate President’s Cup Series with 4-0 Victory

The winners of the President’s Cup, or the winners of the regular championship, “Rangers” were superior in the entire series with 4-0.

In Sunday’s match, the New Yorkers took the lead in the first minute after Kāpo Kako’s accurate shot. In the continuation of the period, Martin Fehervary equalized, but in the final minute of the third period, Vincent Trocek regained the lead for “Rangers”.

In the second period, Hendriks Laperriere equalized for the home team again, but in the third period, Artemia Panarin’s goal in the majority and Jack Roslovic’s shot into an empty net in the last minute allowed the guests to win.

In the second round of the Stanley Cup, or in the semi-finals of the Eastern Conference, “Rangers” will face Carolina “Hurricanes” or New York “Islanders”. “Hurricanes” lead 3-1 in this series up to four wins.

Meanwhile, Edmonton “Oilers” and Colorado “Avalanche” hockey players have won 3-1 in the Western Conference quarter-finals.

“Avalanche” safely defeated the Winnipeg “Jets” at home with 5:1 (1:1, 3:0, 1:0) on Sunday, but “Oilers” had only one goal to win 1:0 (0:0, 1:0, 0:0) would beat the Los Angeles “Kings” unit.

Evan Bouchard scored the only goal of Edmontonians in the 32nd minute of the game after passes from Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl.

Oilers goaltender Stuart Skinner made 33 saves in his first Stanley Cup shutout, while David Ritchie went 12-of-13 in the second.
