Quebec Linebacker Geoffrey Cantin-Arku Invited to Miami Dolphins Mini-Camp After NFL Draft Snub

Ignored for the NFL draft this weekend, Quebec linebacker Geoffrey Cantin-Arku will nevertheless be able to fall back on the Miami Dolphins rookie mini-camp, to which he was invited according to the site 3downsnation.com.

The Lévis native will also be available for the CFL draft which will take place on Tuesday. The Quebecer is also in the top 10 of the most promising prospects of the Central Recruitment.

The University of Memphis linebacker has played in 24 games over the past two seasons. He finished his career with the Tigers with totals of 155 tackles, 2.5 sacks, four pass breakups, two turnovers created, a fumble recovery and an interception.

Cantin-Arku initially opted for Syracuse University in 2019 after playing for Cégep Garneau in Quebec. He played three seasons in orange, recording 105 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, five sacks, two turnovers created, one fumble recovery and one pass knockdown.

At the Tigers’ Pro Day, he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.85 seconds. In addition to impressing with changes of direction, Cantin-Arku had a vertical jump of 32 inches and a broad jump of 119 inches. He also performed 18 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press.

Furthermore, Laval University kicker Vincent Blanchard was invited to the New England Patriots mini-camp.

With the Rouge et Or, Blanchard particularly stood out during the Vanier Cup final in 2022 where he made five field goals, including the game-winning 49-yarder.

Blanchard is also expected to be selected in the CFL draft on Tuesday night.
