Preview of Top Contenders for French Archery Championships in Men’s and Women’s Compound Events

Content

In men’s compound archery, the Rueil-Malmaison club will be able to count on an experienced team, including the presence of an archer selected from the French team, Jean-Philippe Boulch, to try to repeat last year’s performance and take the top step of the podium. However, the path could well be strewn with pitfalls in this quest with ever more successful teams which also include archers in the French team. Namely Rennes, who came 3rd last year, who will rely on their archer Quentin Baraer, who has known the French team on several occasions to galvanize his teammates. Dijon will also have its say with the presence of Maxime Guérin, selected for the Paralympic Games this summer.

On the women’s side, the race for the title of French Champions is open since the Fontenay-sous-Bois club, current title holder, will be among those absent. The fight therefore promises to be explosive and everything remains to be played for for the clubs present such as Mont St-Aignan with in particular Tiphaine Renaudin and her teammates, Chauny (3rd in 2023) or even Neuilly-sur-Marne with Candice Cadronet, multi-medalist among youth who will shoot in Senior and will try, accompanied by her team, to win a medal.
