The 18m Regional Indoor Championship, held in Erice at the end of January, brought satisfaction and recognition to the PAMA Milazzo sports club. In particular, the first day, which saw the Compound and Bare Bow specialties competing, filled the spoils with medals of every “metal”.
Gold medal in the Senior Men’s Compound for Roberto Sottilebronze for Stefano Caravello and an excellent fourth place for Giuseppe Sframeli. In the Men’s Compound Master, silver medal for Mauro Quintanobronze for Benedetto Visalli and a good fifth place for Mike Palumbo. Also in the Compound but Junior men, gold medal for Rosario Sidoti and fourth place for Diego Giunta. Gold medal for Sophia Sframeli and silver for Chiara Bertino in the Female Student Compound category.
In the Senior Female Nude arch, bronze medal for Adriana Marco. Excellent placement for Claudio Barbaro, in his first regional competition. Gold medals also for the team competition, one in the Senior Men’s Compound (Sottile, Caravello, Sframeli) and another in the Men’s Compound Master (Quintano, Visalli, Palumbo). Overall Men’s Compound podium all PAMA with gold medal for Stefano Caravello, silver for Mauro Quintano and bronze for Rosario Sidoti who beat Giuseppe Sframeli, also from the Mamertina club, in the clash for third and fourth place.
Finally, the highest step also for the Compound team overalls, Quintano, Sidoti and Sottile won the gold medal. «We are pleased that our company with its daily efforts and sacrifices – says president Cinzia Mandanici – is also reaping satisfaction at a regional level. It is also a way in which we feel like repaying the trust placed in us by our members, by the families of our youngest athletes and by the institutions that allow us to carry on this wonderful sport in the city of Milazzo.”
