Ogbevoen selected in the Canadian draft

European football champion Lucky Ogbevoen has made the jump overseas. The Austrian defender, who most recently played for the Raiders Tirol, was selected by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the second round of the Canadian Football League (CFL) Global Draft on Tuesday.

Winnipeg is a twelve-time Canadian champion and the CFL is considered a stepping stone to the strongest league in the world, the National Football League (NFL). Thomas Schaffer (Ottawa Redblacks) is already an Austrian playing in Canada.
