Nobody expects this. This is how Djokovi reacted to the Tennis whistles

Serbian Novak Djokovic (1st ATP) is playing his third tournament this season in Monte Carlo. For now, he cannot be satisfied with his performances. First, he was eliminated in the semi-finals from his favorite Grand Slam tournament, the Australian Open (he won it 10 times!) after losing to the Italian Jannik Sinner (2nd ATP), and then he sensationally lost in the third round of Indian Wells to the Italian Luca Nardi (76th ATP).

Scenes in Monte Carlo. This is how Novak Djokovic reacted to the whistles. You don’t expect this

Now Novak Djokovic is fighting in the tournament in Monte Carlo. The Serb had a free fate in the first round, and in the second round he defeated the Russian Roman Safiullin (41st ATP) 6:1, 6:2 in one hour and eleven minutes. In the 1/8 finals, Djokovic faced Italian Lorenzo Musetti (ATP 24). Interestingly, both players played against each other in Monte Carlo last year. Then the Italian unexpectedly won 4:6, 7:5, 6:4.

There was no shortage of controversy and scenes in the stands during Thursday’s match. After one of the Italian’s moves, the system declared the ball out. However, the main referee unexpectedly decided that the point should go to Musetti. This angered the fans gathered on Center Court in Monte Carlo, who started whistling at the referee.

What did Djokovic do then? He didn’t get angry, as is his habit, he didn’t argue with the referee, but he started directing the fans to whistle louder. They laughed loudly in response.

Djokovic won the match 7-5, 6-3, although he was already losing 2-4 in the first set. The Serb won, although he had more than two unforced errors (19-9).

Djokovic’s rival in the quarterfinals will be Australian Alex De Minaur (11th ATP), who defeated Australian Alexei Popyrin (46th ATP) 6:3, 6:4 in the 1/8 finals.
