The photo of the Movistar Estudiantes Quarry 2024, in tribute to the centenary of Telefónica
In this special year, all the players from the Movistar Estudiantes teams, from those from the inclusive quarry to the LEB Oro and Liga Femenina Endesa teams, once again celebrated the traditional Photo of the Quarry. It was this Monday, April 15, on the Movistar Academy Magariños court, a great moment to form a club and support the teams in the final stretch of the season, since there is a lot at stake.

There has been an important representation of more than 2,500 players, from 4 years old to professionals, both from the quarry, from the Foundation’s schools and from the improvement teams. All of them were accompanied by their coaches. In all this vital learning, through basketball, the trainers, all the coaches and technicians who work on the personal and sporting improvement of all the boys and girls of the Movistar Estudiantes family play a fundamental role.
The good atmosphere reigned among all the teams and some of the youngest teams from the quarry took advantage and came closer to get to know their idols from the LEB Oro and Liga Femenina Endesa teams a little better.
In honor of Telefónica’s centenary
Telefónica has been linked to the Estudiantes Club for more than 14 years, when the Proniño Foundation began collaborating with the college club’s youth academy. A few years later, it assumed the role of main sponsor and since then the operator and the club have traveled hand in hand, sharing values such as effort, talent or innovation; and connecting people’s lives.
This year Telefónica turns 100 years old and Movistar Estudiantes wanted to pay tribute in the photo of the quarry to be a participant in the centenary of the club’s sponsoring member, to together make life easier for the thousands of Movistar Estudiantes followers.
