Last week the mayor Luca Menesini, together with the councilor for Sport, Lucia Micheli, received in the Municipality a representation of the players of the Under 12 and Under 15 teams of the DRK Capannori Baseball, accompanied by the managers and coaches: the president, Giancarlo Mannini, the sporting director, Corrado Sarti, the Under 12 coach, Carlo Mori and the Under 12 manager, Marco Simi.
The meeting was a moment of celebration and sharing, during which the mayor complimented the kids on their recent sporting successes, encouraging them to continue cultivating their passion for sport, an important tool for education, growth and belonging to the community and for the values it represents.
The DRK Under 12s, in fact, are the reigning Tuscan champions of the 2024 indoor winter league.
This moment was also the opportunity to officially present the club’s new playing uniform which shows off, in addition to the name ‘Capannori’, also the coat of arms of the Municipality.
