The best Latvian biathlete Andrejs Rastorgujev and his beloved Nadezhda Rastorgujeva have entered the marriage port. The two exchanged rings in the Maldives, as reported in Lauma Lapsa’s material “Biathlete secretly married on the beach” in the publication “Privatā Dzīve”.
Rastorguyev’s wedding was a surprise not only for his friends and relatives, but also for the bride herself.
As Nadezhda discovers, Andrei only ordered to buy a wedding dress, but did not tell anything about his intentions. When she found out that she was flying to the Maldives, she was very excited. But later another surprise awaited her – she learned that the Maldives will be the place where the two will get married.
“We didn’t have a traditional wedding. (..) Andreja and I had nothing planned. We didn’t even know what day we would get married, because whether the ceremony could take place on the beach depended on the weather,” says Nadezhda, revealing that the day was great weather and we could celebrate the wedding, it was March 28.
