Judo in San Severino: Celebrating 20 Years of J-Etic School with Two Days of Events

Judo in San Severino celebrates 20 years of presence thanks to the master from Settempeda Boris Giachetta, black belt and founder of the “J-Etic” School. In recent years, many boys and girls have discovered the charm of this discipline and have trained in character and psycho-physical balance on the tatami of master Giachetta’s dojo. To celebrate the anniversary, a “two days” of judo has been organized for next Saturday and Sunday, in which hundreds of children and young people from all over the Marche will participate. It starts on Saturday, from 3.30pm to 6.30pm, with an internship in the “Toti Barone” gym, held by the Japanese master Yhsho Oshima (third Dan), technician of the Tsukuba University of Tokyo. He is one of the best and most trained judoka in Japan and is an expert in Ne Waza, ground fighting. Sunday will take place at the “Albino Ciarapica” palas – also in San Severino – and will be dedicated to the 1st Settempeda Trophy: a youth competition, starting at 10am, reserved for the categories: Boys (born in 2013-2014), Beginners A (born in 2012), Rookies B (born in 2010-2011) and Cadets (born 2007 to 2009). From 4.30pm, a non-competitive event will follow, open to children aged 4 to 10. Among them there will also be the many students of the ASD “J-Etic”, the dojo directed by maestro Giachetta who, after the 2016 earthquake, moved from the center of San Severino to the Taccoli area.
