Berlin (dpa) – Winger Gabriele Procida will no longer be able to play for Bundesliga basketball team Alba Berlin this season. The 21-year-old Italian was operated on due to chronic irritation of the left patellar tendon and will be missing from Berlin for another three to four months, the club announced on Thursday. Procida is now in the rehabilitation phase.
He had already had to sit out the past few weeks due to knee problems. The 1.98 meter tall Procida has been playing in Berlin since 2022.
