Giannis Antetokounmpo Diagnosed with Calf Sprain: Avoids Serious Achilles Injury

The first diagnosis was the correct one. The Milwaukee Bucks have completed additional examinations with Giannis Antetokounmpo after his leg injury – non-contact – during the game against the Boston Celtics on Tuesday night. He suffers from a calf sprain, as announced immediately after the match. Above all, Selon Adrian Wojnarowski the second MRI showed no damage to his Achilles tendon, which remained one of the fears and questions.

The double-MVP therefore avoids a serious injury which would have been synonymous with long rehabilitation. It all depends on how quickly he recovers from his calf problem. It cannot be ruled out that he will need several days of rest, and would probably have to miss the last three regular season matches. The Bucks are still in the fight to finish second in their Conference, a place they still hold today.

The playoffs will begin on April 20.
