Travis Kelce Extends Contract with Chiefs Through 2027, Celebrated by Mahomes on Social Media

The Kansas City star tight end extended his bond with the franchise in which he has won three Super Bowl titles

KANSAS CITY — The Kansas City Chiefs have reached an agreement to extend the contract of star tight end Travis Kelce for two additional seasons, a source said, keeping the player under contract with the franchise through the 2027 season.

Financial terms of the deal were not immediately disclosed.

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes celebrated the contract extension of his favorite partner with a message through the social network X, formerly known as Twitter.

Travis Kelce will turn 35 in October.

Travis Kelce, who has been selected to nine consecutive Pro Bowls and has five first-team All-Pro nods, had 93 receptions for 984 yards and five touchdowns last season.

In the postseason, Travis Kelce had 32 receptions for 355 yards and four touchdowns while helping the Chiefs win their second consecutive Super Bowl title and third overall in the last five seasons.

Travis Kelce has 907 receptions for 11,328 yards and 74 touchdowns in 11 NFL seasons. In 22 playoff games he has 165 receptions — an NFL record — for 1,903 yards and 19 touchdowns.

NFL Network was the first outlet to report the news of Travis Kelce’s contract extension.
