France, the Skweek crisis risks ‘turning off’ the BetClic Elite season finale

In France, the liquidity crisis of Skweek, the broadcaster that holds the TV rights of the EuroLeague and BetClic Elite, as well as an important sponsor of Asvel, does not seem to be resolved.

This time the consequences could be serious, given that the TV broadcast of the season finale of both competitions would be at risk. .

According to what was reported by LeParisien, the L’Équipe group, which produces the French championship matches through the company 21 Prod, would have sent a registered letter to Skweek to terminate the current contract between the two companies “subject to agreements”.

The digital platform, owned by FedCom Media (a giant founded by the president of AS Monaco…) a subsidiary of the multinational FedCom, would have accumulated several million euros in debt with its partners.

Oleg Petrov, CEO of Skweek and FedCom Media, had assured that his group would pay the amounts owed in full “in a few weeks”, promising to quickly pay off at least 50% of the debt.

According to LeParisien, however, the group had indeed made payments, but far from the promised amounts.

Euroleague has also already made it known to Skweek that it intends to end all relationships if the broadcaster continues not to respect the agreements.

And Romain Molina, a French reporter, speaks of delays in salaries also at AS Monaco.
