In the USA it is reported that former NBA player Ben McLemore was recently arrested. The 31-year-old was arrested at Portland airport later in the week. The American has to face several charges in court. This includes, among other things, the accusation of aggravated rape. According to media reports, this is said to have occurred in October 2021.
Ben McLemore has since been released from prison on $500,000 bail.
The American was selected seventh overall in the 2013 NBA Draft by the Sacramento Kings. In the NBA, Ben McLemore also played for the Memphis Grizzlies, the Houston Rockets, the Los Angeles Lakers and the Portland Trail Blazers. After a stint in China with Shandong Hi-Speed Kirin, the guard played in Europe for AEK Athens and Río Breogán.
