Football, Justice Iblea ready for the challenges in the Balearics and Dubai

Magistrates and lawyers from the “Giustizia Iblea” football team, which represents the Palace of Justice of the Iblean capital are preparing for the trips to the land of Spain and Dubai scheduled for 2024. These are two events, European and global, reserved, in fact, for teams made up of judges and lawyers. For these two occasions, the Iblean team will be expanded to include colleagues from Umbria, Lazio and Abruzzo.

Under the orders of Mr. Fabrizio Cingolani, former magistrate of the Court of Ragusa transferred to the Court of Pescara, the Iblea team leaves for the sunny Iberian island with the aim of doing well and, if possible, improve the seventh place of the Nations Cup of Saint Tropez, obtained in 2023. The lawyer Pietro Armenia of the Ragusa Bar wears the captain’s armband of a team that has made itself appreciated in France for its technique, tactics but above all for the ferocious determination it displays. A determination that will be even more necessary given that, once the surprise effect has vanished, the opponents are now waiting for the eleven of the Team Manager and soul of this beautiful reality, judge Claudio Maggioni of the Court of Ragusa.

From Wednesday 3 to Sunday 7 Aprilthe world of Iblean justice which has chosen to make the passion for football a sort of ‘something more than a simple hobby’, will be the protagonist in the Master category to the EuroLawyers 2024 tournament, event for European teams made up of lawyers which takes place in Calvia in the Balearics. Opponents Hungary Master, Palermo Forense, Advocatus Croatia, the representative of the Czech Republic, the Israelis of the Nazareth Northern District, a French and a Spanish representative. On the occasion of this event, the team, with the precious help of ASD Futsal Ragusa, collected contributions from some sponsors to partially cover the costs of participating in the tournament and purchasing sports material.

But it’s not just football, fun, passion and the desire to do well on the pitch. There is also a desire to ‘do good’ and Justice Iblea has it 25% of the sums raised will be donated to the Raggio di Sole Onlus Associationprovincial section ofNational Association of Autistic Parents, with operational offices in Ragusa and Modica; the initiative was born thanks to an idea by Graziano La Terra, one of the parents who are part of the association.
