Football: here is the new Ligue 2 logo

This Friday, Ligue 2 BKT is getting a makeover. As with Ligue 1 on March 21, the division will be entitled to a new logo, strongly resembling that of the French football elite, from August 17, 2024 (resumption of the championship).

“It follows the same typographic logic by playing on the term L2, with an L embedded in the 2, which is revealed at the second level of reading” explains the Professional Football League (LFP) in a press release. She also specifies that this visual change will soon affect several competitions such as the Champions Trophy, the play-offs as well as the eLigue1.

The only point of difference with the new logo of the first division is the naming. Indeed, Ligue 2 will not change sponsor, unlike Ligue 1 with the arrival of McDonald’s. Arriving in 2020 and at a time linked to the Coupe de la Ligue, the off-road tire brand (BKT) will therefore remain a partner of Ligue 2, at least until 2027.
