Five Players and a Coach from Pesaro Baseball Called Up to Italian National Team for Baseball Championships

Four boys, a girl and a coach from Pesaro Baseball were called up by the Italian manager Maurizio Balla to the first seasonal meeting of the Under 18 national team of baseball and 5-a-side baseball for a ‘two days’ which will serve as the first step in view of the European Championship which will take place at the end of October in Clermont Ferrand, France. Those called up are Enrico Bicchiarelli and Filippo Baldassarri in the Under 18 Baseball, Filippo Antonioli, Alessandro Micheli and Klea Arapaj in the Under 18 Baseball 5. To complete everything, Paolo Vannini, also from Baseball Pesaro, has been called to be part of the technical staff of the Nazionale Baseball 5. Satisfaction for the president Cristiano Crinelli (photo), for all the technicians and managers of Baseball Pesaro. Such a high number of summons of elements coming from the same relatively small company is an extraordinary fact. “And we are only at the beginning – comments Crinelli –. This year we have a young team, but supported by various elements of proven experience. We start with the declared intention of winning the Serie C group, so as to access the playoffs and attempt, once and for all, to climb to the B series. The Under 18 youth team will also try to repeat the excellent last season, with the aim of repeating the achievement of the national category quarter-finals. These are not easy objectives, but let’s start with the willingness to try.”
