The event was held at the Francesco Saverio Nitti higher education institute in Portici (NA) last March 22nd and opened with the screening of the video “Without barriers Antonio Maglio and the dream of the Paralympics“, dedicated to the figure of the doctor of Inail pioneer of sports therapy for the reintegration of people with disabilities and creator of the Paralympics.
The initiative, promoted by Campania Regional Directorate of the Instituteor, from the international organization “Meeting Schools” and from the Nitti Institute, was introduced by greetings from Lucia FortiniRegional Councilor for Schools and Social and Youth Policies, of Vincenzo CuomoMayor of Portici, of Daniele Leonand, Inail Regional Director, and of Immaculate Iadiciccohead teacher of the Nitti Institute.
After the ritual greetings, the testimonies of the Paralympic athletes representing the different disciplines followed. The Paralympic athlete was present for archery Alessandro Forte from theSD Archers Primavera Carditoaccompanied by the 19-year-old FITarco technician Pasquale Del Piano.
The interventions were all aimed at underlining how archery only apparently represents an individual sport but on the contrary a continuous team game, where, as in life, difficulties can only be overcome by teamwork, through the precious support of institutions, essential elements that allow any athlete to reach the highest competitive levels.
The meeting then ended in the school gym where the students had the opportunity to try archery, with one more participant
time of the athletes paralympics and technicians representing the respective sports disciplines.
