These are the 4 routes that enter the wild and spectacular territory of the Val Nure, in the Emilian Apennines, on the border with Liguria: all the routes will end in Ferriere (PC), the largest municipality in the province of Piacenza, and a tourist destination to visit in all seasons.
The “queen” race will be the Three Valley Grand Tour, with its route of 102 km and 6,000 m of positive and negative altitude difference. This is the first Ultra Trail completely in the province of Piacenza, with the exception of an encroachment of approximately 4 km into the municipality of Santo Stefano d’Aveto in Liguria. The route involves 4 municipalities: Ferriere, Santo Stefano D’Aveto (GE), Cerignale, Corte Brugnatella. The route includes passages over all the highest peaks in the area: there will be seven mountains above 1300 metres. TVGT finishers will get 5 ITRA (International Trail Running Association) points. The Ferriere Classic Ring could not be missed, 57 km with 3,100 m of positive and negative altitude difference and located entirely within the Municipality of Ferriere, except for a brief trespass in Santo Stefano d’Aveto; also in the FCR you will reach seven peaks above 1,300 m. This route will award 3 ITRA points.
The other two races on the program are the Carevolo Trail Race, 31 km for 1,600 m D+- and 2 ITRA points, and the Panoramic Trail Race, 20 km and 900 m D+-.
TVGT will start on April 26th at 11pm; all other races will be held on April 27th.
